Client: Base Structures (2009)
Tensile mesh rain screens
Irish Rail required a system of cladding to deflect clouds of spray from the trains which speed through Adamstown station. Tony Hogg Design devised a system of aluminium frames and tensile mesh panels connected by galvanized steel brackets. The structure was successfully designed to fit between each node on the space frame roof structure with legs connected at the main amenities building below. The rain screens' legs are telescopic to allow up to 120mm movement between of the roof structure and the building. We engineered the structure and our drawings and details were used to produce and install each component.
