Client: Fleet Projects (2006)
The refit of the ship required an awning over the poolside deck and an all-weather shelter over a lounge deck. The two canopies had to be designed to withstand 100 mph winds and all fittings and finishes had to be commensurate with the marine environment. The poolside structure's steel members were specified by the client to be high grade stainless steel. Tony Hogg Design further developed the initial scheme and provided engineering and detailing for the structures, the fabric and the fittings. We provided steelwork fabrication drawings and all procurement schedules. Engineered details were also provided to the ship's fit-out team for modifications required to the existing superstructure to accommodate the canopy's loads and attachment points.
