Client: Base Structures (2005)
As part of a PFI project, the structure was designed to cover the college's central courtyard. Tony Hogg Design developed the scheme in collaboration with Aedas Architects. Part of the membrane had to cover a footbridge that linked the wings of the building. The bridge became integrated to form part of the structure supporting the canopy. The one-piece PVC coated membrane is supported on masts with an articulated sand-pot detail at ground level. Tony Hogg Design provided a full scope of work, supporting the initial scheme design and culminating in steelwork fabrication drawings.
