In order to enhance and soften the detailing of the undercroft area of one of the refurbished grandstands, architects Ainsworth Spark conceived a canopy to over-sail the frontage of the amenities and retail outlets. The undulating run of membrane required high and low mounting points and cantilevering arms that had to be let through the brickwork to reach primary steel structure beyond. Architectural stainless steel fitting details give this canopy a contemporary feel.
